Astana Conference on Sustainable Energy Security through an Energy Transition

This event was organized by the NNWI, a London-based and internationally focused think-tank with a newly established representative office in Kazakhstan.

NNWI believes Central Asia region has the potential to soon-move-away from its dependence on fossil fuels and aims to support its switch to low-carbon energy sources.

During this conference, Kazakh experts discussed the region’s sustainable energy security prospects by looking at the energy transition efforts followed by a discussion on nuclear power plant construction, governance and regulatory framework, benefits of nuclear power and safety of nuclear technologies.
