Latin America: Nuclear technologies on the rise

This webinar discussed nuclear developments in Latin America.

In Latin America the expected increase in population coupled with increasing temperatures has pushed the region to turn to nuclear energy as a source of clean, reliable, and safe source of energy. Besides electricity, nuclear technologies can also provide region with improved medicine and agricultural innovations, both crucial for its development.

To support transition towards a low-carbon future, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico plan to increase their nuclear energy capacity by building more nuclear power plants, while several other countries in the region are now considering the possibility of including nuclear energy to their energy mix.

During this webinar we brought together key regional nuclear industry representatives to discuss nuclear energy developments and opportunities in this region.
