Government to launch next phase of SMR competition, facing global technology race

The UK government will launch the next phase of its competition to develop a small modular reactor in the UK in the next few weeks, according to Andrew Bowie, undersecretary of state for energy security, speaking on 16 January in the UK’s House of Commons.
